Position Overview
Under the direction of the operations supervisor, the customer service representative (CSR) is the initial contact with the public via telephone for paratransit services provided by Clallam Transit System (CTS). This position evaluates service requests, schedules approved requests, and coordinates service delivery. Provides critical contributions to support CTS’s mission.
Compensation:
Wage begins at $20.61 per hour, moving to $21.90 per hour after successful completion of the 180-day probationary period. CSR’s receive pay increases on their anniversaries up to $26.79 (2024-2026 wage scale) and annual cost of living increases.
Required Qualifications
Current CTS employee who has successfully completed probation.

Possess a high school diploma or high school equivalency certificate (GED) and two years reception and customer service experience; OR any satisfactory equivalent combination of related experience and training that provides required knowledge, abilities, and skills.
Summary of Working Conditions
This position is not safety-sensitive and is represented by the Amalgamated Transit Union, Local 587. Work variable hours and days including weekends and holidays, based on assigned work. Position is non-exempt and overtime may be required.

Responsible for providing relief paratransit dispatcher and customer services representative duties in the absence of the dispatchers or customer service representatives. Primary dispatcher duties include dispatching vehicles and operators ensuring all passenger pickups and returns are made in a timely, safe, and efficient manner. Primary customer service representative duties include evaluating service requests via telephone, scheduling requests, and coordinating service delivery.

Upon successful completion of the training, compensation for relief dispatcher will be 115% of the assigned paratransit operator’s current wage, at the appropriate step. Position Overview
Responsible for providing instruction to paratransit operators on the safe operation of paratransit vehicles, including how to transport passengers to various destinations within the service area in a safe, timely, and professional manner. Assignments include preparation for classroom instruction, curriculum development, and on-road training. Maintain records, prepare reports, and submit daily progress reports to the training supervisor, as required. Attend training as needed.
Required Qualifications
Current CTS employee who has successfully completed the probationary period as a paratransit operator.
Maintain a valid Washington State drivers’ license.
Compensation
The hourly base wage of the selected candidate will be paid during the training period. Upon successful completion of the training period, compensation shall be 115% of the employee’s current wage, at the appropriate step, for all hours worked as a paratransit operator instructor.
