Token Transit

  • Which tickets can I purchase through the Token Transit App?

    You can buy single ride fares, day passes, and monthly passes, reduced or regular.

  • How do I activate my ticket?

    When you're ready to ride, go to My Passes in the Token Transit app on your phone and tap your ticket to activate it.

    Important:

    • Do not activate your ticket until you can see your bus or you arrive at your bus stop. All fares have expiration times/dates.
    • You need WiFi or cell service to activate your pass. You'll know it's activated when you see the blue circle moving and the current time displayed.
  • How do I know if my ticket is active?

    When you activate your ticket, it will open to show a blue circle that is moving. Additionally, active tickets will be displayed in the Pass Wallet, which appears when the Token Transit app is opened. Once activated, tickets in the Pass Wallet will clearly show the time left before the ticket expires.

  • Do I need an internet connection?

    An internet connection is required to purchase your ticket, and to activate your ticket. 

  • Who do I contact if I have trouble with the app, my mobile passes or payment?

    If you experience any technical issues with the app, your mobile passes, or payment, contact Token Transit at help@tokentransit.com or 415-91-TOKEN (86536).

Setup

Set up your account. You will need a credit or debit card to set up an account and purchase tickets.

Purchase

Select the tickets you want to purchase.

Activate

When you're ready to ride, go to My Passes in the Token Transit app on your phone and tap the ticket/pass to activate.

Ride

As you board the bus, show the bus driver your phone displaying your activated ticket/pass.
